SPA AT FOUR SEASONS, RABAT

Description : Wellness & spa, featuring 10 treatment rooms, a hammam and an indoor swimming pool.

Located in the Kingdom of Morocco’s capital city, Kasr al Bahr, the “Palace of the Sea”, is a former Royal residence, which later became a military hospital.

Closed since 1999, the place has managed to keep over the years all the magnificence of its former self; today the palace has been entirely restored to accommodate this new Four Seasons hotel.

Atelier Pod imagined the wellness and spa area of the address taking their inspiration from the Bouregreg Valley that the hotel overlooks, where the river and the Atlantic Ocean meet. Carved up by winds and waters, the coastline is the mineral shimmer of the natural elements’ strength and serenity, which they subjugate.

Reflection, fluidity, rhythm, and harmony but also movement and vitality are at the heart of the concept created by the international agency which transcribed the beauty, strength and versatility of water into a strong architectural language made of shapes and materiality.
