Lotfi Sidi Rahal invited Patrice Vermette, the Academy Award–winning production designer behind the film Dune, to join his team, alongside Chris Butten, creative landscape designer at London-based firm HED.

The team emerged victorious against some of the world’s leading architects on a highly confidential project in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia: the creation of a village set within a lush green valley.

As we explored this exceptional site, it became clear that the destination was not only about hospitality and architecture, but about crafting a journey through time.

The region’s rich history and geological depth evoke a strong sense of timelessness, echoing a growing collective desire for escapism into imaginative worlds, often inspired by contemporary fantasy narratives.
